We tend to ignore one basic thing, that is, the very existence of the internet is to share information from anywhere with the entire world. Everyone is sharing information or a type of entertainment content through YouTube, Web articles or social media.
The information is shared in three forms:
1. Video: This is the most popular form of medium because this engages users the most. Video is the best form to share information or entertainment content. Users find it quite easy to engage with video content as they don't have to read and imagine things. Everything is done in the video itself which is why users tend to grasp the information more clearly. But videos are often kept short because everyone wants to grasp a lot of information in the shortest possible video.
2. Web articles aka text-based information: This form is often used to convey informative and long content for those who really want to get an in depth understanding of their search queries. These are the web articles or blog posts which come as a search result when you search on google. One can get more people to their websites by making a short video describing the most important bits of information and then tell the audience to check out the website for an in-depth understanding of the topic in question.
3. Audio: Audio based communication was extensively used in FM radio services. People used to listen to news and music and other kinds of information through radio services. These days audio content is becoming trending again in the form of PODCASTS. Using podcasts too one can share bits of valuable information about a certain topic and then ask users to visit their website to gain more understanding about that topic. This generates more engagement on the website.
All these forms of communication are combined into one medium called the Internet. One can sell his products or services to a higher number of populations using this medium in the above-mentioned forms.
I know we all knew about these things, yet I documented all this information in text form. Fascinating that we know about all these things, yet most of us never took any advantage of the internet.
